The Doctors
The practice is a non-limited partnership.
It holds a contract with Wiltshire Primary Care Trust to provide
general medical services. Medical services are provided by the medically qualified
partners who are:

1984) DCH Dr Jerry Marshall (male) MB ChB (Bristol 1987) Dr
Ceri Davies (male) BSc MB BS (London 1993) DRCOG MRCGP (merit)
The
partners employ a part-time salaried GP and other doctors when necessary to help
with the provision of medical services.
The
Practice Manager
Sandra Walklett is responsible
for the 'business' of primary care and for administrative, financial, personnel
and training issues within the practice. She has a keen interest in 'customer
services' and would positively welcome your views and suggestions.
The
Practice Nurses
We employ a team of very experienced nurses
who work very closely with the doctors. They are able to advise you on a variety
of health problems.
The practice nurses can perform a variety of procedures
including vaccinations, ear syringing, cervical smears, dressing to wounds, blood
pressure monitoring, chronic disease management, removal of sutures and taking
of ECGs. An appointment can be made via the receptionist without referral to the
doctors.
The
Triage Nurses
The triage nurses are specially trained nurses who can help and
advise you on a range of conditions and diseases. They are particularly helpful
in advising on treatment for colds, influenza and other minor illness and conditions.
If
you have an urgent need to see the doctor or discuss your symptoms you will be
asked to speak in the first instance to one of our triage nurses. If they are unable to help you and feel that you need to see a doctor urgently, or at any time in the future, they will arrange for this. They are available
for consultation over the phone or by appointment via the receptionists.
The
Health Care Assistant
Our HCA is supervised by the practice
nurses. She is skilled in blood taking and monitoring of blood pressure.
You
can see her by appointment via the receptionists.
The
Practice Secretary
Jean Titterington deals with all correspondence
leaving the practice, in particular the typing of patient referral letters to
hospital. If you have a question about a referral, please contact Jean.
Reception
And Administrative Staff
These staff, together with our
reception team leader, will assist you in making routine (and sometimes more
urgent) appointments to see a doctor or nurse, process repeat prescriptions, answer
queries on an enormous range of topics, and generally offer help and advice on
the services we provide. It is a legal requirement that patients’ records
are maintained securely and confidentially at all times by all staff, so please
discuss any health worries you may have in the knowledge that our staff will use
their utmost discretion. If you are willing to provide them with details relative
to your query, they will be much better placed to help you use our range of services.
We
always try to be courteous and cheerful, and provide the flexibility of service
you are looking for. If occasionally we fail to meet your needs, please bear with
us!
