and Night Cover

Weekend and night cover is commissioned
by the Wiltshire Primary Care Trust. Doctors employed by the
Wiltshire Medical Services provide the services. They are based in the Greenways Business Park Chippenham, telephone 0300 111 5717.
If you feel concerned about
a problem but do not think it merits a call to the emergency service, the NHS
Direct service, a 24 hour nurse-led advice line, can be contacted on 0845 4647
where experienced medical staff can advise you.
The
Walk-in Centre (led by experienced nurses)
There are two facilities in the area if you need treatment or advice for minor or routine conditions such as coughs and colds, rashes, vomiting or diarrhoea, minor infections, emergency contraception, cuts and wounds etc.
Both are run by experienced nurses and no appointment is necessary.
They are:
• Swindon Health Centre, Carfax Street, Swindon.
Open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 6.00pm (9.00am to 5.00pm weekends and bank holidays).
• The Clover Unit, GWH, Marlborough Road, Swindon.
Open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 6.00pm (7.00am to 5.00pm weekends and bank holidays).
Accident And Emergency Department
The
nearest casualty department open 24 hours a day is at the Great Western Hospital,
Marlborough Road, Swindon. Telephone 01793 604020.
Disabled
Access
All patient services are located
on the ground floor, and a WC with disabled facilities is also available. If access
proves difficult, please ask for assistance. We would be happy to consider any
suggestions for improvements. |
